International Dog Day in full swing at Just Mortgages

As it is National Dog Day we thought it was the perfect time to tell you about Steve Lambert, our Divisional Sales Director for the North.

Steve regularly rescues and adopts dogs from countries such as Turkey, Cyprus and across the UK and has just adopted his 11th Labrador, picking Loula up from Manchester Airport last night to take her to her forever home.

 

“We may be biased, but we believe adopting an animal is one of the best things you will ever do, for both the animal and yourself” says Steve. “Rescuing a dog is an incredibly rewarding experience. You’re giving a dog a second chance.”

Steve is an ambassador for the Labrador Lifeline Trust, and dedicates a large majority of his time supporting their efforts. Together with his wife Emily; daughter Jessie and son Charlie, Steve hopes to raise awareness about these rescue opportunities, and hopes to show people why adopting is far more rewarding than buying.

“All of our dogs are rescues, and seeing them ‘come back to life’ again is a feeling like no other. I remember the first time my fur-baby realised they were safe and began to play with us and our other dogs. Seeing him heal emotionally and overcome his fear was amazing. It was so rewarding.”
