Meet Dionne Smith

Hi, I’m Dionne Smith!

I’m a mortgage and protection advisor based in Grays, Essex, where I live with my husband, our grown-up son who’s 22, and our two dogs: Bailey, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Max, a French Bulldog. Family is at the heart of everything I do, I have relatives spread across South Essex, from Rayleigh and Wickford to Basildon, South Benfleet, Shoeburyness, Canvey Island, and Southend.

Essex has always been my home. My teenage years were in South Benfleet, but for the past 30 years, except 5 years abroad, I’ve been based in Stanford-le-Hope, South Ockendon, and all the areas in between Grays, South Ockendon, and Stanford-le-Hope. After living abroad in Austria, I returned to the UK in 2006, where I restarted my career as an estate agent in Upminster. After a year, I transitioned into financial services, working my way up from personal banking manager to a financial consultant.

Since 2007, I’ve been dedicated to financial services. In 2014, after my time at Lloyds Bank, I became a mortgage broker the beginning of 2015. With over a decade in the industry, I guide clients from Grays up to Chelmsford, Romford to Leigh-on-Sea and beyond. Before all of this, I was also a property investor, having been a landlord since 2000, which gives me a real edge in understanding both sides of the market.

Outside of work, I’m an outdoor enthusiast. My husband and I love café culture, long countryside walks, and kayaking trips. I often do countryside walks and run a local walking group. I also love gardening, kayaking at Paper Mill Lock, and heading to Two Tree Island in Leigh-on-Sea, where we stop at Osborne’s, a family-favourite café, for fresh seafood. I’m also a big fan of Basildon Festival Leisure Park for a Chinese buffet, and I enjoy trips to the cinema. Essex is more than a place; it’s my passion, and I can’t wait to help you take your next step here, whether you’re buying, investing, or settling down.
