Meet Islington

Hi, I'm Gloria!

Originally from Scotland, I now live and work in London, a city I love for its energy, diversity and remarkable architecture. Having grown up surrounded by Scotland’s beautiful landscapes and historic buildings, I have always had a strong interest in property, interiors and the stories behind the places people call home.

My career began in the mortgage industry, where I worked in mortgage administration and gained experience supporting residential, buy-to-let, bridging and specialist mortgage cases. Building on this experience, I completed my CeMAP qualifications and progressed into my current role as a mortgage broker, helping clients in Islington and across North London with their property plans.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring London’s different neighbourhoods, discovering new restaurants and admiring the city’s mix of period and contemporary architecture. I am particularly drawn to Islington, from the Georgian townhouses around Canonbury and Barnsbury to the lively cafés, independent shops and creative businesses along Upper Street and around Angel. I also enjoy visiting Regent’s Canal, Highbury Fields and Marylebone, where historic streets and landmark buildings sit alongside modern London life.

One of my favourite things about London is that every neighbourhood has its own personality and sense of community. Family is very important to me, and working within a family business has helped shape my values of loyalty, hard work and treating people with genuine care and respect.

I would describe myself as friendly, determined and naturally curious, with a real enjoyment of meeting people and hearing about their plans for the future.
