Meet Hillsborough

Hi, I’m Robert Dixon!

I’m a friendly and approachable Mortgage and Protection Adviser, and I have been working in the financial industry since 1998. Over the years, I have really enjoyed helping clients through the home-buying process and supporting them with clear, practical advice at each stage.

For the last 15 years, I have specialised in the residential and buy-to-let mortgage market, working with homeowners, first-time buyers, home movers and landlords. During this time, I have built up the knowledge and experience to help clients navigate the mortgage process, including those moments when things do not always go to plan.

I support clients across Hillsborough and the surrounding Sheffield areas, including Walkley, Wadsley, Owlerton, Stannington, Loxley, Crookes and the wider South Yorkshire area. Whether you are buying your first home, moving house, remortgaging or investing in a buy-to-let property, my aim is to make the process feel clear, straightforward and well supported.

Hillsborough is a fantastic part of Sheffield, with a strong local community and plenty of well-known places nearby, from Hillsborough Park and Hillsborough Stadium to the Rivelin Valley and surrounding green spaces. It is especially rewarding to help people buy, move or invest in an area I know and enjoy working in.

Outside of work, I enjoy music, both listening to it and playing the piano. I also enjoy working with and acting in local community theatre groups.

For me, mortgage advice is about more than just finding a mortgage. It is about helping clients feel informed, reassured and confident as they take their next step.
